
Clinton Lavern Keith Cummer
Suddenly on April 30, 2008, Clinton Cummer (Popeye) passed away at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years Sheryl. He also leaves behind four children, Dianne (Howard) Hamilton, Keith (Wendy) Cummer and their children Amanda, Jerrica and great-grandson Mitchell, Sheila (Kelvin) Thacker and their children Michael and Bayleigh, and Allan Cummer (Tasha, Nolan), as well as two honorary grandchildren, Laura Rocha of Belo Horizante, Brazil, and Andrey Mataczinski of Foz do Igua cu, Brazil. Dad was the youngest of 7 kids. He also leaves 3 sisters, Iona Produniuk, Bernice (Morris) Bobei, Francis (Jim) Huston, and 2 brothers, Elmer (Simone) Cummer, Orville (Margaret) Cummer, and brother-in-law Ron Lenton. Also many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Tina, one brother Wesley, brother-in-law Mike Produniuk, and one nephew Dwayne Cummer.
Dad was born September 25, 1950 in Carman. He was raised in the Roseisle district. We moved to town in 1985. He attended school in Roseisle and Miami. He married our Mom on October 21, 1967.
He worked all his life in the construction business, Stephenfield Park, many years with Nelson River and as of April 23 he had worked for the RM of Dufferin for 25 years. His family and friends were everything to Dad. The more family and friends around the better. The apple of his eye though were his grandkids!!
We miss you already Dad, Grandpa, will miss you forever!! Love you always!! Till we meet again!
Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.
