1935 -2012

With family by her side, It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, gramma, and sister at the Carman Memorial Hospital on

January 28,2012.

Mom will be deeply missed by her two sons Ken and Rob, daughter Brenda, son in law Larry and two grandsons Kris and Steven.  Mom was born on June 17, 1935 in Winkler Mb. She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Marie Unrau, her husband Henry, her brothers Jake and Bill, sisters Kae, Mary, and Anne, brothers in law Abe, Norman, John, nephew James, and niece Angela.

She is survived by her sons Ken and Rob, daughter Brenda, son in law Larry, grandchildren Kris and Steven, brothers Abe (Nettie) Unrau, Cornie (Evelyn) Unrau, sisters Betty (Dave) Derksen, Marge (John) Fehr, Judy (Neil) Penner, Sara Martens, Esther Strogal, and sister in law Liz Unrau and Verna Krasinanski, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Viewing took place on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Doyle's Funeral Chapel.  Funeral service was held at the Carman Mennonite Church at 2 pm on Wednesday February 1, 2012 with Pastor Bob Pauls officiating. Interment took place at the Greenwood Cemetery in Carman Mb.  Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Carman Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or the Pembina Valley Humane Society.
